Caymanians in UK to convene for the first time in two years | Loop Cayman Islands - Loop News Cayman

The sold out inaugural Cayman Day, which takes place on Saturday (September 18) at 3pm at the Snoozebox Hotel at Olympic Park in London will celebrate Caymanians in their endeavors overseas and allow them to meet the new Cayman Islands Representative to the UK, Dr Tasha Ebanks Garcia, while immersing themselves in sweet Cayman culture.

New students and Caymanians coming to the UK for the first time are welcome to attend and can meet fellow Caymanians who have been living in the UK.

The event has been put together in partnership with the Cayman Islands Government Office in the UK, Cayman Connection and the Friends of Cayman Group.

Cayman Day will include live performances from singers: Rita Estevanovich, King Navassa, Juliet Garricks, Jevy Ebanks, Nayil Arana on fiddle, and Nicole Wood, deejay Just Vibez, arts and cultural activities and displays, talks, games including a dominoes competition, as well as Caymanian gifts, prizes and surprises.

There will be a Prosecco & Rum Punch reception at 3pm and all guests who arrive between 3pm - 4pm will be entered into a prize draw to WIN a special Cayman Islands hamper with gifts and vouchers worth over 200. There will even be a cassava cake baking competition!

A special menu of Caribbean food will be served up by award-winning Caribbean Chef Collin Brown, working with Caymanian Chef Chad from GoGo Carib. The culinary duo is working on “Cayman Day” signature dishes for the occasion.
