Nov. 13:

Meet and Greet the Goldens, 10 a.m.-noon, Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue Golden Gateway facility, 60 Vera Cruz Road, East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County. Meet and greet the golden retrievers and dogs available for adoption. Staff is on hand to answer all questions, and food is also available for purchase. No admission charge. (No photos please.) Strausstown Fire Company’s Breakfast, 7:30-11:30 a.m., Strausstown Community Campus, 50 East Ave., Strausstown. A full breakfast menu will be available. Proceeds benefit the apparatus fund.

Leesport Area History Society History Program at Bethany EC Church, 7 p.m., 308 Main Street, Leesport. Paul Miller will share the history of South Mountain in his “Memories of a Bygone Era.” Parking lot and entrance is in the rear of the church.

Boyertown Area Historical Society will hold this juried craft show of top quality handmade crafts Nov. 26, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., and Nov. 27, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission: $5; age 12 and under, free. Dec. 3-5:

Christmas at Joanna, Historic Joanna Furnace Iron Works, 5-9 p.m., Furnace Road, near Morgantown. Dec. 4 and 5, 4 -9 p.m. A three-night 19th century Victorian Christmas family destination. Admission: $10, adults, children 12 & under, free. Three miles north of Morgantown off Route 10. Look for signs and enter by turning on Furnace Road. Parking is available on site and along Furnace Road. A safely lighted, easily accessible parking area is along Furnace Road. For the safety of visitors, all are encouraged to avoid parking along Route 10.

Dec. 3

Boyertown Area Historical Society’s Holiday Tour, 4-9 p.m., 43 S. Chestnut St., Boyertown. Tour starts at Boyertown Area Historical Society. Tickets are $15. Advanced tickets at The Peppermint Candy Store, Frecon Farms or online at BoyertownHistory.org. Tickets can be purchases the day of the event at the Boyertown Area Historical Society (cash only).

Dec. 4:

The Daniel Boone Optimist Club Annual Holiday Craft Show, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Coventry Mall, 351 W. Schuylkill Road, North Coventry Township, Chester County. Handcrafted items made by local crafters, food, refreshments and popular raffle featuring items from attending crafters.

Free Community Giveaway, noon-1 p.m., Calvary United Church of Christ, 1231 Route 100, Barto. Coats, books, lunch to go and more.

Spring Valley Boutique, noon-2 p.m., Spring Valley Church of God, 2727 Old Pricetown Road, Temple. Park in the upper parking lot, boutique is set up in the gym. Most items at the boutique are free. Featured items vary by month (depending on donations) but frequently include: clothing for women, men and children, shoes, handbags, jewelry, etc. Anyone looking to donate used items to this ministry can do so during boutique hours.

Dec. 11:

The Daniel Boone Optimist Club Annual Community Tree Lighting, 5-7 p.m., Amity Community Park (near the Daniel Boone Middle School parking lot). Rain/snow date Dec. 12. Santa, lights, hot chocolate, music and caroling.

Dec. 18
