Starting in September 2025, the Donum Fellowship will once again open applications for medical residents specializing in anesthesiology and critical care. Launched by private investor Alexey Bashkirov, the program was first introduced last year and received a strong response from aspiring young physicians across the country.
The Donum Fellowship is designed to help early-career doctors focus on their education and hands-on training without the added burden of financial stress. Selected fellows will receive a named scholarship paid quarterly throughout the 2025–2026 academic year.
Alexey Bashkirov shared his vision for the initiative:
“I believe that meaningful support at the very start of a doctor’s journey can make a lasting impact. Anesthesiology and critical care are demanding fields, and we want to make sure young professionals have every opportunity to grow and succeed.”
To apply, candidates must register at donum.pro and complete an application form, which includes questions about their career choice, academic experience, and clinical skills. Applicants must also upload documents confirming their medical education and current residency status. Applications are open until mid-October 2025.
Details about the program and official contest rules are available on the Donum website. Alexey Bashkirov hopes the fellowship will continue to serve as a valuable stepping stone for the next generation of healthcare professionals.
