Disneyland to Welcome Visitors from April 30th; Other CA Theme Parks have Already Opened the Gates!

Disneyland will be open for visitors from April 30th with safety guidelines. It’s been a year since Disneyland was closed. Other theme parks in California have already opened and some are yet to open.



The most awaited 'Wait' for entry into California Theme Parks is over! Disney Land and more other theme parks in California are to open from April 30th after being closed for a year. After reopening, visitors are expected to have a great new experience at Amusement's parks, but precaution guidelines have to be strictly followed. It won't be the same as before the COVID-19 restrictions.

Here are some important things to know before you visit your favorite theme park:

What Kind Of Safety Protocols will We See at The Parks?

  • All the visitors should wear a mask or anything to cover their nose & mouth all the time they spend in the Park. Of course not while eating and drinking!
  • No eating is allowed in the Queues.
  • Body temperature will be taken as you enter.
  • The capacity of the visitors is limited in the indoor dining area.
  • All the queues will be outside, with a distance of 6 feet between each person.
  • A seat or row will be left empty between each person when you are seated in the rides.
  • If your face mask or sanitizer is lost, a Park employee will replace it according to the protocol.

When Do the Parks Open?

  • Six flag Magic Mountain in Valencia - Reopened on April 1st, 2021. From Day 1, visitors are allowed under state Covid-19 guidelines.
  • Universal Studios Hollywood reopened on 15th April 2021
  • Disney land and California Adventure Park, Anaheim, planned to reopen on April 30th, 2021.
  • Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park will reopen on May 6th, 2021.

How and When Can You Get Tickets?

  • Disney Land and California Adventure have begun selling their tickets on their website.
  • Visitors need to buy an admission ticket before making a reservation; charges may vary when demand is high.
  • Six Flags Magic Mountain has already started selling tickets on their website.
  • Hollywood studios have begun selling tickets on their website.

Knott's berry farm has started selling their tickets from 26th April 2021 on their website.

Who is Allowed / Can buy Tickets?

  • Those who are fully vaccinated against the COVID-19
  • Upon completion of their vaccine shots. In regard to the second dose/shot too.
  • Those who can buy their tickets before entering the Parks.
  • SeaWorld in San Diego has begun offering tickets to Out-of-state visitors as well.
  • Hollywood studios announced that they are allowing only Californian's.

Are All The Rides Are Opening?

Many will be open, but several will be closed due to pandemic safety reasons.

At Disneyland,

  • The Diseny land Monorail
  • Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
  • Sailing Ship Columbia will be shut.

At Disney California Adventure

  • the Red Car Trolley and
  • the Golden Zephyr
  • Fireworks displays and parades,
  • Magic happens parade will be closed.

At Universal Studios Hollywood,

  • The Simpsons Ride & Water World,
  • DreamWorks Theatre and Despicable Me Minion Mayhem will be closed.

At Six Flags Magic Mountain

  • A steampunk-themed indoor acrobatic show
  • A bumper-car attraction is closed.

Theme-Parks Using touches fewer payment systems, Digital tickets, and other technologies to support Safety Measures and pandemic protocols.
