California Bar Owner Selling Fake Vaccination Cards, Arrested

Bar owner arrested in California for selling fake vaccine cards of COVID-19. Lawsuit was lodged, and the state department began investigating this case.

On Wednesday, a bar owner was arrested on suspicion of the sale in his California establishment of bogus Covid-19 vaccination cards.

A California bar owner faces several counts of felony for supposedly selling his bar bogus COVID-19 vaccine cards.

This week, in his bar, the Old Corner Saloon, in Clements, the State Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control arrested the man.

Clements's southeast approximately 35 miles from Sacramento.

Since receiving a report about the bar owner, the state department began investigating, they said in a statement.

On several occasions in April, Undercover agents could buy counterfeit vaccine cards at the bar. The falsified cards have been exchanged for about $20.

San Joaquin Announces Charges Against Fraud.

According to San Joaquin District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar's announcement, charges against the 59-year-old Todd Anderson include identity fraud, stealing public information, and falsifying medical reports.

Investigations were launched after a lawsuit was lodged at the Old Corner Saloon in Clements in the southeast of Sacramento about false cards by California's alcohol department.

Anderson was also considered to be a felony after his detention with a loaded, unregistered pistol.

"To see people in our collective display flagrant disrespect for wellbeing in the middle of a pandemic is disillusioning," Salazar said. "The distribution, falsification, or purchase of false vaccine cards COVID-19 is against the law and threatens you and your surroundings."[1]

Vaccine Cards for Covid-19

Vaccine cards are sent to people inoculated under Covid-19 with information about the vaccine brand, the lot number, and the vaccine date. The cards also feature the names of the Centers for Disease Control.

The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control said that discoverers could buy fraudulent cards much time in the Old Corner Saloon in April. During a search warrant at the pub, a variety of cards were discovered for distribution.

The District Attorney's Office said that Anderson was freed on bailiff Wednesday and would be arraigned on May 18. If he hired, a lawyer is unknown.

FBI Issued an Advertisement for Fake Covid-19 Cards

After they were released online, the FBI issued a public service advertisement to prevent the sale of fake Covid-19 cards late in March. The Department has also instructed the people who have received their vaccines to stop displaying their sensitive details through postal images of their cards in social media.

The notice indicated that it is a felony to unauthorize the use of a government department seal, so no one can purchase or fill out counterfeit cards.

"You put yourself or others around you at risk of contracting COVID-19 by misrepresenting vaccinating you while attending classrooms, public transport, places of employment, gyms, or places of worship," said the FBI.
