Authorities spent the day seeking Gabby Petito’s boyfriend at a Florida wilderness park. The search crews found nothing noteworthy. Authorities alleged she was slain while on a cross-country vacation with him. There are no signs of Brian Laundrie, Gabby Petito’s boyfriend, after days of searching.

North Port police spokesperson Joshua Taylor said the search began on Wednesday morning near the 24,000-acre Carlton Reserve park. It ended just before dusk. Brian Laundrie’s parents told investigators he went there after coming home without Petito on September 1.

The FBI searched the Carlton Reserve for the fourth day, with activities halted on Monday. The FBI also searched the adjoining Laundrie residence for evidence.

In an email, Taylor stated that the reserved hunt would resume on Thursday morning.

Thousands of acres of foreboding, swampy subtropical terrain teem with alligators, snakes, bobcats, coyotes, turkey, deer, and other wild animals are part of the outdoor search. More than 100 miles of hiking and horseback riding paths, as well as various camping places and waterways, are available.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office enlisted the help of SURF or the Sheriff’s Underwater Recovery Force. It was to conduct a more thorough search for evidence.
