Toronto, Ontario — With Canadian children returning to school for the first time in a year and a half, it is crucial to protect their health. The airborne threat of COVID-19 has brought indoor air quality into the spotlight of public attention, but indoor pollution poses multiple health threats to developing lungs.
In a new article by Camfil, leading air filtration experts explain the risks associated with indoor air pollution as well as the benefits to be gained from improving indoor air quality.

Opportunely, the Ministry of Education has made a recent announcement that $25 million will go to improving ventilation in schools with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters as part of the effort to curb the spread of COVID-19 as students return to class. With HEPA filters, virus-sized particles (generated through respiratory droplets of an infected person) and air pollutants carrying the virus are captured and may reduce exposure.”
