The event, which was hosted in collaboration with Red Inside Culinary in New York, saw participants divided into two teams where they got to cook their dishes using the new kitchen appliance that features the Flashwave Rapid Heat technology. The cooking tech, which was months in development, was made to include 3rd generation graphene heating that enables it to heat up in an astonishing 0.2 seconds which expedites the cooking process by up to 40%.
The Comfee FLASHWAVE Toaster Oven features ten preset functions, a spacious interior, time-saving technology, and multifunctionality, which allows the participants to create a multi-course meal without the need for multiple appliances.
Chef Ivan from Cozymeal, the event's host, commented, "The culinary enthusiasm at the event went up a notch thanks to the technological marvel in action. In a competition where every minute counts, the FLASHWAVE proved indispensable for the chefs. This proves that the oven is ideal for the urban dweller who is usually short of time. The appliance offers a glimpse into the future of home cooking, where taste and technology merge to create something extraordinary. Participants showcased dishes that exemplified efficiency, speed, and culinary brilliance."
The culinary showdown concluded with Team B winning thanks to their Asian-Mexican flavour fusion featuring soy sauce and ginger-roasted salmon. It narrowly beat Team A, who made an Italian-style salmon with polenta and a tomato salad; however, it faced time disqualification for not having all dishes plated in the final seconds.
He went on to add, "From perfectly crisp Italian-style salmon to delectable desserts, participants could show their creativity and waste little time. The tool will be great for the practical urbanite with a penchant for culinary excellence. As someone who has been a part of several bustling kitchen environments in the city, I feel such appliances are needed in modern times."
A spokesperson for the company also announced at the event that the company will be offering an early Black Friday deal for the FLASHWAVE Toaster Oven.
