The Czech Fintech Association (CEFTAS) announces several significant achievements in the first half of 2024. These successes confirm our continued growth and influence in the financial technology sector.
Main H1 2024 achievements:
Participation in the Money 20/20 conference CEFTAS successfully presented at the prestigious Money 20/20 conference, where our delegation established collaborations with global fintech leaders, explored innovative solutions and strengthened international partnerships. The Czech delegation is getting bigger every year, but we have yet to add countries like Estonia or the Netherlands.
Co-organizing the Fintech Roadmap Conference We co-organized the Fintech Roadmap '24 conference in Prague, which brought together more than 230 fintech professionals to discuss new trends, network with key partners and share insights on the future of financial technology. The participants were primarily from three countries - the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.
Expansion activities - Sending a Dateio member thanks to the cooperation with CzechTrade to Finovate Spring in the USA, where representatives represented the Czech fintech scene. Another trip was to the Unchain Festival in Romania, where the whole CEE region meets. Wultra's expansion into Nigeria is also worth mentioning. For H2, we are preparing missions to Ireland, Hungary and other countries.

Support for legislative changes
CEFTAS is actively involved in commenting on many legislative proposals that aim to support and improve the fintech environment in the Czech Republic. One notable example is our involvement in employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) legislation. We believe these initiatives will contribute to the long-term prosperity of the country and support the business environment.
