Dominique Daye Hunter is not just an Afro-Indigenous storyteller, inspirational speaker, advocate, and artist - she is a force of nature, weaving together poetry and sustainable fashion to shed light on the resilient spirit of Afro-Indigenous communities. Her groundbreaking book, "Seeds: Stories of Afro-Indigenous Resilience," is making waves in retail locations and libraries nationwide, captivating readers with its exploration of historical trauma, safe spaces, and healing in Black and Indigenous communities.

Beyond her literary and visual endeavors, Dominique is deeply involved in community projects that seek to empower and uplift indigenous voices. As the Program Manager for Indigenous East and the Project Manager for the Yesá Language Immersion and Lifeways Conference, she is at the forefront of land rematriation efforts and cultural preservation initiatives east of the Mississippi River. Dominique also leads workshops on storytelling for healing, stress management, empowerment, and diversity, equity, and inclusion training for Black and Indigenous communities.

With a Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Leadership Management with a focus on American Indian Studies, Dominique brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her work. Splitting her time between Durham, NC and Phoenix, AZ, she is a true embodiment of the intersectionality of cultures and the power of unity in diversity.
