Call for Submissions Now Open: A Multidisciplinary Artistic Exploration of the Post-Human Future
'Fractured Horizons' is more than just an exhibition—it is a manifesto for reshaping the future.
Following its resounding success in 2024, the internationally acclaimed exhibition 'Fractured Horizons' will once again take center stage at NYCxDESIGN Festival in 2025. Organized by VSDesign, PI Art Center, and the nonprofit ALT Alliance, this year's exhibition invites artists from around the globe to submit works that examine the collision between industrial heritage and future ecologies through a multidisciplinary lens. The exhibition is set to take place from May 16–23, 2025, across two venues: PI Art Center in both New York and New Jersey. Expanding its global reach, the exhibition will also be available online to engage a wider audience.
Exhibition Theme: The Interplay of Industrial Ruins and Post-Human Visions
This year's exhibition centers on three critical themes: "Heritage and Rupture," "The Horizon of Post-Human Cities," and "Fragmented Narratives." Artists are encouraged to explore how artificial intelligence, automation, and evolving ecological systems are redefining human-dominated spatial orders through diverse artistic mediums, including digital media, traditional ink painting, and sculpture. The exhibition will feature a wide range of works spanning painting, photography, digital art, sculpture, and mixed media, showcasing unique artistic interpretations of our future world.
“Artists are not merely observers; they are architects of the future,” said the exhibition jury. “This exhibition will illuminate new possibilities emerging from the fissures of industrial civilization.” The event seeks to inspire artists to critically reflect on societal transformations, evolving identities, and the challenges of urbanization in the contemporary world.

Join Us in Shaping the Future of Design: Global Partnership Opportunities
As an officially recognized flagship program of NYCxDESIGN, the special SPOTLIGHT Showcase will introduce a groundbreaking platform for artistic and design dialogues. In 2024, the festival recorded over 1,000 participating designers, 115,000 visitors, and a media reach of 756 million.
While 'Fractured Horizons' captivates global attention as a large-scale digital art exhibition, this year’s SPOTLIGHT showcase will highlight three pioneering themes: “Artistic Innovation in the Age of AI,” “Eastern Aesthetics in a Globalized Design Context,” and “Art, Therapy, and Educational Exploration.” This curated initiative aims to build an intellectual network bridging art, technology, commerce, and humanities.
We invite strategic partners to collaborate and share the stage with world-renowned artists, designers, tech innovators, prestigious brands, and leading media outlets. The SPOTLIGHT program will feature a series of forums, talks, workshops, and interactive presentations, offering customized sponsorship opportunities that enable partners to engage in cutting-edge design discussions, amplify brand innovation, and expand industry networks.
