About Black Girl Narrative

Black Girl Narrative began as a seed during DeLisha's doctoral program, originally through Black Superwoman Chronicles, a space for Black women to share art, writing, and community. After experiencing racism in academia, the project paused but the vision persisted. In September 2024, a survey on misogynoir and digital harm garnered over 2,000 responses from Black women. In the wake of the November 2024 election, DeLisha and Nardos returned to the vision of Black Girl Narrative with clarity and urgency, realizing its necessity as a space for storytelling, protection, reflection, and collective power.
