Spain votes Sunday in local and regional polls which will test Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez's chances of remaining in power after a general election later this year.. Of the 12 regions voting on Sunday, 10 are governed by the Socialists either alone or as part of a coalition.

Dramatic Sydney blaze consumes seven-storey building

More than 100 firefighters battled towering flames and thick smoke Thursday as a huge blaze consumed an unoccupied seven-storey building in central Sydney.. The flames appeared to be dying down as firefighters poured in water from multiple hoses two hours after the fire took hold in a building near the Central Station railway hub.

South Korea says Ukraine artillery ammo report 'inaccurate'

South Korea on Thursday dismissed a US media report that its artillery rounds were heading to Ukraine, saying its position on not providing lethal aid to Kyiv was unchanged.. "The South Korean government's position on aid to Ukraine remains unchanged... and there are also inaccuracies in the (WSJ) report," Jeon Ha-kyu, the defence ministry's spokesperson, told reporters.
